§ X — The screens

The plates are not
struck yet.

There are no screenshots on this sheet, because the honest ones do not exist yet. Here is what the app shows instead, in words.

A pre-launch page can show a screen or it can show the truth. We are not going to dress an earlier version of this app in the language of the current one and call it a preview, so this sheet describes the surface plainly and the plates go up when they are the real thing.

What is on the screen

  • A log button, a row of tags, and an optional note field — a craving is recorded in about ten seconds.
  • A seven-day chart of entries, with History, Insights, and a calendar view behind it.
  • One optional daily reminder, off until you switch it on.
  • A Siri shortcut, so a craving can be logged without opening the app.
  • Export to a CSV file you send yourself, if and when you want a clinician to read it.

What is deliberately absent

No feed, no cohort, no ads, no notification designed to bring you back for our sake. Nothing on the screen names a substance, and nothing announces itself on a phone other people occasionally hold.

Where it stands

A monthly or annual subscription through the App Store — $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year — with 7 free days before the first charge. Enter the register and we write once when it ships — or read how it works first.
